Often times we as people have a tendency to judge ourselves by ourselves and the bible strictly says not to do that in
( 2 Corinthians 10:12) let me explain. Because I'm a woman I often see this in and of women not to exclude men because I'm sure some of them struggle with self hatred as well, we are visual and more often than not a lot of things not of God catches our eyes, that why we are instructed to guard our eyes, ears, and mouths, anything on our bodies that has an opening to our spirit man which is simply our hearts (proverbs 4:23) We have to be very careful because what you let in will eventually manifest outwardly in your life, this is also known as your fruit. One of the manifestations of self hatred is when you feel like you are never good enough, there is always something on you that you think needs to be constantly fixed, weather its your hair, nose, eyes, legs, weight its always something! you never feel adequate or that you fit in. The second sign is you may find yourself constantly looking in mirrors or in the glass of a store at your reflection as you pass by, not wanting what you can control such as your hair when the wind blows if it gets out of place! if any of this sounds like you then you need to be delivered or set free from this spirit of self hatred, and to do that you have to repent to God and denounce this spirit by first acknowledging that you feel this way and telling it you don't want it controlling you anymore! and let the work began by putting Gods word on it daily, by saying I'm fearfully and wonderfully made! ( Psalms 139:14) Because literally what you are or were doing by not liking yourself is basically slapping God in the face and telling him what he created wasn't good enough, and that is a LIE! you are good enough, beautiful enough, and strong enough! you are an over comer and and everything that God made he said it was good!!! according to( Genesis 1:31) I bet you didn't even know that this was really self hatred that you felt towards yourself but it is, that's just how cunning the enemy can be. Now don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with enhancing and controlling it with a healthy balance. Self hate simply comes in when these symptoms starts controlling you and you feel you can't do without enhancements, because then you will be ugly, not accepted or not enough etc. So please know that if this describes you...you can be free because Jesus died and paid for your freedom. Now go and sin no more against yourself! because you are a beautiful creation!
